In addition to CILT's annual statewide leadership program,
the Institute has developed a wide range of programs and services
including issue
salons where one can discuss current issues, happy hours and networking
events,
alumni workshops, and social/cultural events such as theater tickets
and Rockies games. Most of these events are open to the public.
The actual classes, alumni workshops, and alumni retreats are reserved
for CILT
alumni and current class members. Click on the calendar below to learn
of
specific information about our programming.
Join the class of 06 in their final of three Service Days. We will be heading to Lafayette to work on Project YES. Project YES (Youth Envisioning Social change) provides leadership opportunities for young people through the arts and service learning.
Through their Youth Center, Art in the Community, and Service-Learning Partnership programs, Project YES empowers young people to not only envision social change, but live it, positively impacting their lives and their communities.
They need 20 or so people for landscaping, cleaning, and painting duties. The Youth Center yard needs to be raked, cleaned, and trimmed in preparation for spring. The Art Studio needs to be organized and cleaned so that it can accomodate guest artists, pool and fooseball tables, and equipment for open mic nights. Signs need to be created that indicate different host sites for their upcoming organizational event, SeLebration. They need to clean and organize art supplies in the Youth Center. And, as a final "to do," they need to create studio space for their artists. All told, it'd probably take a 20-person group a few hours to complete.
We will head out for dinner/munchies after we are finished. Jonathan Singer (CILT 06) is heading this project up. Please RSVP to Laura Embleton at cilt@comcast.net. You will be connected with Jonathan at that time for further details.
CILT alumni are welcome and encouraged to post events that they are hosting or for organizations or campaigns they are involved with, within the discretion of the CILT Board of Directors. Please forward the information to .
