In addition to CILT's annual statewide leadership program, the Institute has developed a wide range of programs and services including issue salons where one can discuss current issues, happy hours and networking events, alumni workshops, and social/cultural events such as theater tickets and Rockies games. Most of these events are open to the public. The actual classes, alumni workshops, and alumni retreats are reserved for CILT alumni and current class members. Tuesday, April 8 2008, 6:30pm - 9:00pm

Join us for an intriguing and delightful evening with perennial favorite Michael Brewer as he takes us on a journey through the History of Religion and Politics in the Western World. Originally entitled, "How We Got from Jesus to John Ashcroft," Michael has presented his one-hour whirlwind historical tour to CILT classes in our annual Religion and Politics program for years, and does an excellent job of covering this topic. He has a Master of Divinity from the Roman Catholic seminary of the Archdiocese of Chicago and a JD from the University of Denver. He is a very entertaining speaker. We are meeting at the home of Carol Peeples (CILT 07) in Wash Park. The cost is $5 for CILT alumni and class members, and $10 for friends. Apps and beverages will be provided. Come at 6:30 to socialize, the program will start at 7:00. RSVP to Laura at cilt@comcast.net. Directions will be sent at that time.
