In addition to CILT's annual statewide leadership program, the Institute has developed a wide range of programs and services including issue salons where one can discuss current issues, happy hours and networking events, alumni workshops, and social/cultural events such as theater tickets and Rockies games. Most of these events are open to the public. The actual classes, alumni workshops, and alumni retreats are reserved for CILT alumni and current class members. Click on the calendar below to learn of specific information about our programming.

Get ready for Lamar. We are headed to Lamar in a few weeks, May 13-15, for a great class with plenty of social time. Scheduled topics include Agriculture, Renewable Energy, The Effect of Tabor on Rural Communities, Rural Health, and Rural Community Colleges. We will start Friday night with dinner at the Cow Palace and then a trip across the street to Opals. Saturday classes will be at Lamar Community College. Saturday night CILT Alumni Fern Wright and Kay Lynn Hefley have set up a great SE Colorado evening including a brisket dinner, a square dance exhibition, square dancing and line dancing. Sunday we head down to the Wright Farm in Baca County. We will tour the Wright farm and then have a lunch at the home with a great opportunity to converse with a number of SE Colorado Leaders one on one. An email with more specific details, including the agenda, is coming soon. Familes are invited to join us for the weekend.  Little Britches Rodeo is in town that weekend and will be tons of fun for families. We have a block of rooms at the Cow Palace reserved at $60 for a room with a king-size bed, and $70 for rooms with two queen-size beds, just let them know you are with CILT. Please contact the Cow Palace asap to reserve your room at 719 336-7753. If you are bringing your family, the Cow Palace has an indoor pool. Please make your reservation by May 6. We have a number of alumni from various classes already coming, including the class of 05 we have about 50 people signed up so far. It will be a great time! RSVP ASAP to Laura at cilt@comcast.net.
